FAQQ: Should I already be familiar with any basic practices before I can practice Sayujya Yoga?

A: Sayujya Yoga is designed to guide all people, irrespective of their prior spiritual practices or lack of them. Everyone can benefit by the practices. As one progresses along the path, the practices become deeper and subtler. Conversely, if someone is very experienced, the benefit from Sayujya is just as profound. This is because Sayujya simultaneously works on different levels and evolution of one's awareness expands on these distinct levels throughout the practice.

Q: Do I need to change my religious beliefs to follow Sayujya courses?

A: Absolutely not. Sayujya Yoga is not a religion, it is a set of universal practices that come from the Eastern tradition, they are designed for the evolution of the human spirit. And human spirit knows no bounds, it is universal.

Q: Do I have to be initiated and take Swamiji and Amma as my gurus to take the Sayujya Yoga.

A: No, you do not need to take Swamiji and Amma as your gurus to take up Sayujya Yoga. They bring their teachings, practices, energy and blessings to all who are open to receiving them. Swamiji and Amma say that the inner heart is the true guru, you are free to follow your own path while benefiting from Sayujya Yoga practices.

Q: How will the practices help me overcome my everyday problems?

A: Sayujya Yoga awakens your personal, individual "self" to higher levels of awareness. As you practice the techniques, you realize that this higher awareness is unaffected by common problems. Your consciousness expands and you are able to merge with your higher "Self."  In this way you transcend the personal duality, and you are able to effectively handle and manage everyday problems from a higher state of awareness.
