How Our Moments are Filled
Many blessings,

We are in a time where life is moving quickly. Many have mentioned that time itself seems to be speeding up. And it's true that our lives and everything in them are happening so fast that we are constantly struggling with being overwhelmed.

So what to do when life is full?

First, when is life not full? There is no empty moment in life -- we fill it with something no matter what. What we're really talking about is what we're holding on to. Because it's what we're holding on to that keeps our arms so full, isn't it?
Every moment of life is fullness. If you sat in a cave even, and did it consciously, those moments too would be very full. In that stillness, the massiveness of the Mother would be felt, and you would experience the fullness of her love and peace -- her timeless bliss. But to do this you would also have to let go of the distractions you carried into the cave with you, the many things running through your mind.

In our busy lives it's really no different. We carry these things that we've made very important, from one moment to the next, often in distraction. If we could only let them go -- or rather trust that they're being carried just as we are by the Divine, we would know that the Mother is just as present right here outside the cave as well.

It seems we've made our role in life much bigger than it is.

It's not our task to carry everything. We must work hard and take action, yes. And recognize our needs and longings to ask of the Universe with great trust in Her wisdom and compassion, yes. But when She sends the train, get on the train, and put your bags down; let the train carry them for awhile. Why carry your bags when you've already boarded the train -- are you driving the train, carrying your bags, and riding on it as well? Empty your arms, and open your heart.

Your open heart is how you find what's next; your open heart will tell you left or right at the crossroads. There, in our surrender, we can finally arrive at the destination -- which happens to be "right now." This very moment is the destination.

This is the moment that's been long caressed by the sun so that it can fall perfectly into your open hand.

This moment is all we ever have -- it's the only place opportunity exists. That person you pass looking sad is an opportunity for prayer; the flowers that are blooming outside the window are an opportunity for gratitude. The Mother made flowers so that you would see them and smile and know that you are loved by life. If flowers could speak they would say to you, "smile for me, it's what I live for."

And as much as we'd like to think it was our cunning that got us through another day -- the truth is that you were carried safely home by the Divine and a legion of angels. So why be captured by worry, why not be liberated with gratitude instead -- it's a better reflection of what's really happening.

Life's exercise is to free ourselves from enough of our own entanglements, to have some room left for the moment. The moment is full of so much that wants to find you. Just look at the secrets and teachings coming forward at this time -- the laws of attraction are being shared. And what is the key to filling your moments with joy? To find joy within, to find abundance within, to find peace, to let those things out of you -- this is what attracts more of the same.

So, since your life will be full always -- why not make it satisfying too?

It is true that life here is a great gift. And so much of what we are mastering is our appreciation of such a gift.

We pour our love over each of you,

Amma and Swamiji
