This morning we had a small satsang in Swamiji and Amma's room. Amma shared beautifully why the seven of us are here together on this yatra. She explained that we were all chosen to be doing this yatra together. But the choice, the choosing, did not come from above. It is the individual being, the individual soul that chooses to ascend to higher levels of consciousness. Swamiji and Amma explained how Mahavatar Babaji has been vividly coming into their realms of consciousness at various levels, in the form of dreams, in physical forms of different types, in astral visits, and guiding them to come on this yatra. They are being shown places to visit during this yatra, places that are not normally on the tourist circuit, places that are a bit deeper. Amma shared a beautiful story of how they had a ten-year-old child stay with them for a month, five years back. Recently when they were praying to Mahavatar Babaji, he said to them that he was with them physically several years back. Something connected within Swamiji and Amma, they readily found the picture of this boy, who had an uncanny resemblance to a picture of Babaji, drawn by someone who had an astral visit from Babaji. What a blessing it was for all of us to hear these deep experiences.

Swamiji, Amma and Raghudasa arrived in Delhi at 5:30 AM this morning, with Amalananda and Varsha waiting to receive them. It was so beautiful to see them all coming from the airport. Swamiji and Amma had a beatific smile, they had been in anticipation of this yatra for several months now, in truth, several years. Raghudasa was limping a little bit from the pain of the blisters, but was in good spirits. The weather had just started to turn cold, and it had been raining today and yesterday. We all sat down for a cup of hot coffee. It was a very happy reunion. Later, we all went to Amalananda's friend's home, where Swamiji and Amma were received warmly.
The day started with Swamiji and Raghudasa going to the Mariamman temple in Singapore at midnight, to do the firewalking. This firewalking ceremony is held every year as a symbolic purification offering to the Divine Mother Mariamman. 17,000 logs were burnt for two days to prepare a hot bed of burning embers, 20 feet long. The atmosphere in the temple was electric. About 5000 people, all Singaporeans of Indian origin were ready to walk over the fire, with several more people gathered to assist and cheer them.
Namaste and welcome. In these pages, we will blog the yatra experiences of Swamiji and Amma during their travels across India. We are hoping that you can experience the yatra along with them through these words and pictures.
Please meet the five people travelling along with Swamiji and Amma: Amalananda (Venkat), who lives in India and has been coordinating the travel details; Raghudasananda (Michael), who has been living in the Singapore ashram for the past several months and helping with various activities; Carla Filipelli, Greg Filippelli and their son Avinash (Miles) from Asheville, North Carolina. They had hosted Swamiji and Amma in their home temple during the February 2009 visit to Asheville and coordinated the programs there.
