Ekatvam is a beautiful Sanskrit word which means Unity or Oneness with Divine Consciousness. Ekatvam, as oneness, transcends religions, traditions and cultures. It is a realization that we are woven together through our consciousness and hearts.
Ekatvam Foundation, a non-profit spiritual organization, was founded by Swamiji and Amma with the mission of uncovering the totality of spirituality, and making it accessible for every person. By holding a helping hand, Ekatvam serves to help in the speedy evolution of an individual's soul.
The mission of Ekatvam is to open the doors for you to experience divinity. This comes at four unique states for every person. Tatvam Asi (Thou art that), Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma (All the Universe is God), Ayam Atma Brahma (The Self is God), and Aham Brahmasmi (I am God). For when you experience a state of divinity, you become Divine. - Swami & Amma
In this day and age, there are no masters and gurus in the traditional sense. Every single person is a light being, embodied with Divine intelligence and Divine consciousness. As we recognize this truth, it brings out the light in each person even more. Ekatvam is about all the light beings joining hands together, as equals, lending a helping hand to each other in our quest to ascend to higher levels of consciousness.
Vision of Ekatvam:
- Help people reach and realize their Divinity in todays world by achieving a balance between spiritual and material life.
- Empower each individual so that they transcend themselves to become One with the Divine, to become masters in their own right.
- Make the ancient spiritual science accessible to all in a Universal way, in a form that can be practiced by anyone in todays world irrespective of religion, traditions and culture.
- Help in the realization of the Oneness, Ekatvam, of all humanity. Help bring the consciousness of our planet Earth into balance, by uplifting the consciousness of people individually and collectively.
The word Ekatvam is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita (The Divine Song of God, in 6:31), Lord Krishna spoke as follows:
sarva-bhuta-sthitam yo mam
bhajaty ekatvam asthitah
sarvatha vartamano 'pi
sa yogi mayi vartate
Translation: The yogi who worships the Supreme Soul, knowing that I and the Supreme Soul are One, remains always in Me, in all circumstances.
The individual personality has erected barriers between the individual self and the Supreme Self. As one dismantles these barriers, they begin to get glimpses of the higher Self. Eventually, the individual becomes one with the Supreme Self, and in the process, merges with Universal-consciousness. This is Ekatvam, true unity and oneness.
More than any physical ashram or temple, Swami and Amma want to build an Ashram in every person's heart. That is the true Temple for a person, where the inner teachings reveal themselves. It is where one experiences Truth. By lighting a lamp in people's hearts, which in turn lights several other hearts, it is Ekatvam's vision that people come together, in oneness, in Ekatvam, to realize their fullest potential.
Ekatvam Foundation is a charitable non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in the US. All donations made to Ekatvam are tax exempt.
